Responsibilities:

Follow recipes, check portion sizes, garnishes, and present dishes as ordered.
Ensure correct and adequate setup in the kitchen/workstation at each shift, including making orders and storing fresh, dry, and frozen goods, condiments, and supplies.
Handle, store, and rotate stored products properly.
Maintain, clean, and ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment and machines.
Supply stocks, cut, and store perishable goods daily to maintain product quality.
Complete control sheets for opening, in-progress, and closing tasks if requested.
Organize and clean utensils used during the shift, tidy up the workstation, and storage areas (including refrigerators and freezers), and clean and store bins.
Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using appropriate products as indicated by the manager to meet hygiene standards.
Follow instructions from the manager at the start of the shift and take stock with the manager before leaving to ensure everything is in order.

Skills and Other Requirements:

Minimum of one year experience working in a food service environment.
Ability to follow basic recipes and use grill, fryer, and other equipment as needed.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
Food handlers permit, as required by law.
Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.
