Adecco is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant (Maintenance) for a temporary contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized administrative professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy coordinating requests, managing documentation, and working with internal teams and vendors, this could be a great opportunity for you.
In this position, you will provide administrative support to the maintenance team by managing purchase order requests, reviewing invoices, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Pay Rate: $24.50/hour
- Location: Saint John, NB
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time Temporary Contract (4-6 months)
Responsibilities
- Create work orders within the maintenance system to support purchase order creation for maintenance vendors.
- Monitor the maintenance team inbox, review incoming requests, and triage requests appropriately.
- Review vendor invoices and code parts and labour according to VMRS coding requirements.
- Ensure accurate capture of maintenance costs and related information within the maintenance system.
- Support administrative processes related to maintenance operations and vendor management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records while ensuring information is properly organized.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support daily maintenance activities.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support the maintenance department.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience required.
- Previous experience in the transportation industry is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and learn new processes quickly.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
