Salesforce Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

Location: Halifax, NS (Hybrid/Remote) or Remote within Canada

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000

Ateko is hiring a Quality Assurance Lead to build and own QA within our Salesforce Practice. This is a foundational role: you will define how Quality Assurance works within the practice, embed it into our delivery processes across Salesforce implementations, and drive the integration of AI into how we test and validate our work.

You won't manage a team on day one. Instead, you'll lead by influence, designing standards, frameworks, and tooling that Salesforce Developers, Admins, and Architects follow. You'll be executing on hands-on QA so you understand how our processes work today, but also take a lead role in building AI-powered QA agents into our agentic workflows for tomorrow. If you've been waiting for the opportunity to build something from the ground up, this is it.

Why Join Us

At Ateko we work on high-impact projects for some of the biggest names in tech, finance, and beyond. Our culture is collaborative and modern, and we're committed to helping you grow.

Competitive salary, training, and health coverage are all great. But it's the "extras" that really make our employees feel appreciated.

Benefits that set us apart:

  • Flexibility: More than half of our team works remotely, and our culture and policies are designed to support work-life balance, no matter where you are.

  • Professional Growth: Work with some of the largest companies in the world, grow your skills, share your expertise on our blog, or speak at international conferences-we'll help you build your professional profile.

  • Work-Life Balance: 3 weeks vacation, and 10 additional personal days are available, as we recognize the importance of downtime to recharge.

  • Peer Recognition: Celebrate wins with peer-nominated awards and performance bonuses.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: We strive for a gender-balanced workplace with a near 50/50 split of male and female-identifying employees, and we recognize our diversity as one of our greatest strengths

  • Giving Back: As a Pledge 1% company, we dedicate time and resources to making a positive impact. Employees have 20 working hours per year to spend doing volunteer work at the organization of their choice.

  • For Halifax-based team members, enjoy these extras:

    • A stunning downtown office with breathtaking views-even on foggy days

    • All the coffee, tea, Bubly water (we're serious about this), and Cliff bars you can handle

    • A meditation/religious room for quiet moments

    • Weekly Thursday team lunches

What You'll Do

  • Own QA within the Ateko Salesforce practice: define the standards, frameworks, and processes that govern quality across all client engagements.
  • Lead QA across multiple concurrent client projects, balancing breadth and rigour without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Embed QA into how our teams (humans and agents) work, by equipping Developers, Admins, and Architects with the processes, criteria, and tooling to conduct QA as a natural part of delivery.
  • Assist in the deployment of AI-powered QA agents that are integrated into our agentic workflows, ensuring quality is validated automatically and continuously rather than as a manual afterthought.
  • Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and regression frameworks appropriate to each engagement's complexity and risk profile.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Developers, and DevOps to ensure QA is considered at the design stage, not bolted on at the end.
  • Build documentation, runbooks, and training materials that make your QA standards reproducible across the Salesforce team.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve our QA tooling and practices, with an eye toward automation and AI-assisted validation.
  • Contribute to internal IP quality assurance as part of Ateko's broader product and tooling development.
  • Other duties as required.

What You Bring

Required

  • Ability to work in Canada: You're a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident of Canada, or hold a work permit
  • 5 or more years of QA experience, with a track record of leading QA on complex software delivery engagements. Not just executing test plans, but shaping how teams approach quality
  • Demonstrated experience building or formalizing QA processes from the ground up in a consulting, agency, or professional services environment
  • Experience with Salesforce QA, testing Salesforce implementations including Flows, Apex, integrations, and multi-org deployments is a significant asset.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling (e.g., Copado) and how QA fits into CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and how QA integrates within sprint-based delivery.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Provar, Selenium, or similar platforms.
  • Experience designing or working with AI agents, agentic workflows, or LLM-integrated testing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience integrating automated testing and AI tooling into delivery pipelines. You know what good looks like and can build towards it pragmatically.
  • You are actively using AI tools in your day-to-day life. You do this not because it's on your job description, but because you find them genuinely useful. If you're not already reaching for AI assistants to solve problems in your personal and professional life, this role isn't the right fit.
  • Comfortable working without direct reports: you lead through standards, influence, and enablement rather than hierarchy.
  • Strong communication skills: you can translate QA requirements into language that resonates with both technical practitioners and client stakeholders.
  • Analytical rigour and sharp attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger delivery picture.
  • Adaptability: you're energized by a fast-moving environment and do not need a fully-defined playbook to get started.

Preferred

• Background in consulting or professional services environments managing QA across multiple simultaneous client projects.

Benefits• The opportunity to work at a fast-scaling organization servicing some of the largest and most exciting companies in the world

• A flat and modern work culture

• Flexible work environment

• Participation in a Salesforce certification-based employee bonus program

• Medical and dental benefits

• 10 personal days to use for mental health, sickness and family emergencies

• 3 weeks vacation

• Subsidized career training, including coverage of certification tests

• We value giving back to our community - you get 20 hours of your workday over the year to spend doing volunteer work for an organization you chose.
