THE ROLE
Offer expertise in management, operational and hospitality services as part of the team that oversees military messes throughout Canada and the world. The military mess is the centre of social life for serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, where customs, responsibilities and social standards are practiced. Messes are steeped in rich military heritage and tradition. The mess includes food as a central component of events and camaraderie. Personnel Support Program (PSP) Hospitality Services and management are pinnacle to their success.
Under the supervision of Mess Manager, the Messes Clerk prepares, edits, proofreads and finalizes correspondence, reports, statements, invoices, forms, presentations and other documents. They will respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person. They will provide general information to clients and the public. They will set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, Accounting or related field AND some years of experience in Office Administration or in a related field
OR
High school diploma AND several years of experience in administration or in a related field.
Experience
Experience in office administration
Experience in bookkeeping
Experience in providing customer service
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential
