Finance Assistant

Location: Lustre Products
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Consideration for Part-Time)
Schedule: 4-Day Work Week (Monday to Thursday - Enjoy 3-Day Weekends!)

Position Overview:

As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in the Finance team, working closely with Management and various departments. You'll be the primary point of contact for day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and vendor communications, along with supporting general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and send customer invoices in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and manage related communications
Record customer payments including cheques, EFTs, and credit card transactions
Post and verify accounts receivable data in the ERP system
Generate and distribute monthly customer account statements
Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and customer inquiries
Maintain both digital and physical filing systems for financial records
Provide support with research, data analysis, and special projects
Administer trade apprentice reporting and related programs
Perform various day-to-day office administration tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in a finance-related field preferred
Experience with ERP systems (especially Acumatica) is an asset, particularly within a manufacturing environment
Previous exposure to financial accounting is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and advanced Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
Positive team player with a willingness to learn
