Contract Opportunity :
Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation is seeking a respite staff with mental health experience to provide support for a lady with cerebral palsy and various medical needs.
The successful candidate will provide support in all areas of daily living, relationship building, and leisure participation, as well as mental health and behavioral support. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, as well as with families, are required for this position.
Qualifications: A Diploma or Degree in Disability Studies, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, along with 1 - 2 years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities who have a dual diagnosis or an equivalent combination.
Current CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification required
Valid Police Clearance Check with Vulnerable Persons Check and/or Child Welfare Check (within the last two years)
A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with 2M liability insurance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate will have :
ASL _ (American Sign Language) _ fluency.
Job Type: Contract
Weekdays: Tuesday - Thursday
8 days per month
