Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. As an MRI Technologist, you will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and procedures.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Monitor patients during the MRI procedure, ensuring their well-being throughout the process.
Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation of images.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.

Requirement

Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging TECHNOLOGISTS) as an MRI Technologist required.

MRT plus MRI certification required.

Registration with CAMRT required.

Previous recent clinical MRI experience required.

Must have working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.

Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision

Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.

Must have good teamwork and customer service skills.

Must be IV certified.

Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

Adept at operating MRI machines, understanding their functions, and troubleshooting any issues.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in MRI technology.

Understand quality control procedures to ensure that images are of diagnostic quality and that the equipment is functioning properly

Utilize computer systems for image acquisition, processing, and reporting, so computer literacy is essential.

Ability to interpret basic images and recognize potential issues.

MRI technicians often work with patients who are anxious or in pain, so empathy and a compassionate approach

Precision is key in MRI scanning, so a strong attention to detail is necessary to ensure accurate results

MRI technicians need to be able to troubleshoot equipment problems and adapt to unexpected situations
