Job Summary

Job Summary: DJ Peat Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. is currently seeking skilled Flat Roofers to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 3 year of experience in flat roofing ; however, we are willing to provide training to the right candidates. A valid working at height certificate is considered an asset for this position. As a Flat Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofs according to industry standards and company guidelines. This is a full-time position with Monday to Friday work schedule, starting at 7 am (finish time may vary).

Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain various types of flat roofing systems.
Prepare roofs for installation by removing old roofing materials, cleaning the surface, and ensuring proper insulation and waterproofing.
Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific roof dimensions.
Apply roofing materials, including membranes, asphalt, and other coatings, using appropriate techniques and tools.
Install and seal roof flashing and other roof components.
Conduct inspections to identify and repair any leaks, damages, or potential issues with the roof.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following working at height regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in flat roofing.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Valid working at height certificate is an asset.
Knowledge of different types of flat roofing systems and materials.
Familiarity with roofing tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Valid driver's license is preferred.

Do you have torching/welding related to roofing: 3 years (required)
Have you installed TPO, EPDM and ModBit roofing systems?: 3 years (required)
Flat Roofing: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: In person
