Job Description

The Position : J Cote is looking for a self motivated GPS Gradesman to manage and coordinate essential personnel onsite for the completion of projects.

Requirements/Duties:
Conduct day to day layout and grading tasks in accordance to project design and ensure measurement of correct distances
Mark and label survey points and record field data according to job specifications
Provide clear survey notes and sketches for each control line and grade shot taken and check calculations
Conduct field topographic survey pickups and troubleshoot survey layouts
Coordinate field details, site inspections and liase with field subcontractors/consultants and Superintendent.
Maintain up to date and accurate as-built drawings
Assist in implementing and monitoring of quality control

Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years progressive experience, ideally related to site services and working in and around commercial/industrial type sites
Knowledge of the construction industry and construction specifications, methods and procedures
Experience with operating survey equipment( Tremble )/GPS layout
Technical understanding of Civil/ Building drawings
Conduct standard calculations to identify areas, elevations and volumes required to facilitate field work
Understanding of Localization and Survey standards is required
Attend multiple construction projects and coordinate activities with site superintendent other staff

Pay : $38+

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
