The Opportunity
Sigma Corporation is seeking a person who has experience in the HVAC industry to join our commercial products team as a Brazer - HVAC Manufacturing in a fulltime position. The successful applicant should also be a responsible team-player, who is able to work individually and has strong attention to details in performing everyday tasks.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Read drawings and follow work instructions
Cut and clean copper pipes for cooling unit
Install and Braze copper pipes, brass and stainless-steel fittings
Braze pipes to HVAC components; compressors, expansion valves, filter driers, etc.
Meet quality compliance requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work environment with Safety First in mind
Flexibility to work overtime on occasional evenings and weekends.
Perform repetitive work in a manufacturing environment, frequently required to walk, reach, bend, stoop or lift materials weighing less than 50 pounds.
Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
Qualifications
Intermediate level braze ability working with copper, brass, and stainless-steel fittings with minimum three years of experience.
Must have experience with Oxy-Acetylene Soldering/ Brazing
Must be able to use hand and pneumatic tools
Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to perform duties as required under minimal supervision
Must have sufficient working knowledge to pass brazing certification
