HOURS OF WORK:

Days - Monday to Friday

Must be flexible on hours

MATERIAL HANDLER/EXCAVATOR CRANE: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a daily pre-inspection of equipment, record the results
• Perform some preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e. greasing)
• Ensure piles are safely piled to avoid creating a hazard
• Able to interpret, use hand signals, and voice to communicate with others
• Ability to perform various types of physical labour including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shoveling, etc
• Able to exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material
• Sortation and grading of metals

OTHER DUTIES: TRUCK DRIVER (FLATBED & ROLL OFF):

• Accurately complete, on a daily basis, all required paperwork

• This position entails on site driving
• Haul material from various areas inside a manufacturing plant
• Mount and dismount heavy truck several times a day
• Check all delivery slips and scale tickets thoroughly
• Other duties as assigned by Dispatch

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Able to work independently

• Minimum three (3) years' experience operating heavy equipment (material handler/excavator crane/truck)
• Ability to work and drive outside in all weather conditions
• First Aid and CPR is an asset

• Forklift Operation is an asset

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good spatial skills

• Ability to adapt and adjust to various assignments as requested by Supervisor
