Position Summary:

Galaxy Freightline Inc. is hiring a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations at our Calgary Terminal . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight handling, inventory control, and team leadership within the transportation or logistics industry.

This position plays a key role in maintaining service standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. Interviews will be conducted online.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the warehouse including receiving, loading/unloading, storage, and dispatch.
Supervise a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and yard personnel.
Ensure proper handling of freight, packaging, and load balancing for both LTL and FTL shipments.
Monitor inventory accuracy and perform routine cycle counts.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions at all times.
Enforce company policies, health & safety regulations, and security procedures.
Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to align warehouse activity with trip planning and delivery schedules.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on warehouse management experience (preferably in freight, transportation, or logistics).
Proven team leadership and staff scheduling experience.
Strong knowledge of freight handling, palletizing, load securement, and cross-docking.
Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, forklift safety).
Basic computer proficiency and experience using WMS or TMS systems.
Forklift license/certification is required.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
