Ram Mechanical Inc. is currently seeking for our Service Team an experienced Journeymen Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities:
Perform plumbing and gas fitting installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial projects
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing and gas-related issues
Ensure all work complies with local plumbing and gas codes
Maintain accurate records of work performed
Collaborate with apprentices and support staff
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Technical and Extensive Experience:
Proven experience as a service plumber, including residential, commercial and Industrial service work
Extensive knowledge of:
Plumbing systems (water supply, waste disposal, venting)
Gas fitting systems (natural gas and propane)
Ability to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain:
Pipes and plumbing fixtures
Water heaters (including gas-fired units)
Toilets, sinks, tubs, showers
Drain and sewer systems
Gas appliances, lines, meters, valves, and regulators
Ability to perform gas line sizing, leak detection, pressure testing, and compliance checks
Proficient in the use of plumbing and gas fitting tools (pipe threaders, gas leak detectors, manometers, etc.)
Qualifications:
5 + years of experience.
Valid plumbing license - Journeyman Plumber.
Valid gas fitter license or endorsement (Class A/B/C depending on local jurisdiction).
Backflow prevention certification - asset.
Experience with gas fitting and mechanical systems required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and materials.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Safety-conscious and reliable.
CSTS/WHMIS and other safety certifications are assets.
Strong troubleshooting skills for both water and gas systems.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Reliable, punctual, and well-organized.
Willingness to be on-call for after-hours/emergency service.
Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Physically able to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs.
Familiarity with mobile dispatch/work order platforms (e.g., Service Titan)
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Able to provide/pass clear criminal background check if required by Clients.
