Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain a safe working environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
Load and unload goods from trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices or packing lists.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role involving heavy equipment operation.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Experience with crane operation is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly in order picking tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
Valid forklift operator certification is required; additional certifications for other heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
