Position Summary:

We're looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to be the first point of contact for employees and managers, helping shape a positive employee experience across our organization.

In this dynamic role, you'll thrive by staying organized across multiple projects, bringing proactive ideas to the table, and being the go-to resource for all things HR and H&S. You'll play a key part in supporting our production operations by helping ensure our high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently met.

Primary Responsibilities:

Exercise and demonstrate sound judgment, strict confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Act as the primary contact for HR and H&S inquiries, including the HR inbox and Suggestion Box.
Promote employee engagement through regular walkarounds on the plant floor on all shifts to build visibility and communication.
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference and background screening; partnering with staffing agencies as needed.
Support the new hire employee orientation and onboarding process which includes preparation of new hire packages, new hire setup, welcome email, IT set up and payroll documents.
Maintain and update HR and H&S trackers to ensure accurate and timely data.
Prepare and deliver reports on HR and Health & Safety metrics, safety compliance, and operational performance.
Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.
Support employee engagement initiatives and training programs.
Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety programs and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Support payroll to maintain up-to-date employment records including employee changes, promotions, departures, leaves of absence and other administrative tasks ensuring employee changes are captured in ADP WorkForce Now.
Support offboarding and termination process including scheduling and conducting exit interviews, notifying payroll and IT, collecting peripherals, etc.
Support day-to-day HR operations including but not limited to leave of absence administration, employment letter preparation, and any other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus.
CHRP or working towards an asset.
1-3 years experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources or similar administrative position.
Knowledge of human resources and health & safety legislation, regulations, processes and best practices.
Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint to support reporting and presentations.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality & integrity

Salary up-to $65,000 based on experience.
