Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team. We have straight vacs, combo vacs and hydrovacs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operatoring the vac truck to location, cleaning tanks, transferring fluids etc at a oilfield location. This role requires a strong understanding of operating vac trucks (driving, controls, etc) excellent navigation skills to get to and from location usually known as an LSD #, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. All our Safety Paperwork is done through SiteDocs so no more lost or wrecked paperwork.
Looking for someone for our team that is reliable with a good work ethic. Experience with operating 18 speed manual trucks is needed - everything else of the job is trainable.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive trucks to location
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
Clean tanks, transfer fluids, haul fluids to disposal
Conduct hazard assessments as per the job requires
Communicate effectively with team members as well as oilfield workers
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
Perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
Qualifications
Valid Class 3 Drivers License
Relatively Clean commercial drivers abstract
Basic automotive repair skills is an asset
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively - LSD #
All team members leave from our Shop in Edgar Industrial to head out to location in and around the Red Deer area.
