Totally Tutors is currently seeking teachers in the locations of Etobicoke, West Toronto, Midtown, Central, East York for the following roles:

• Primary/Junior Reading Tutor (Grades 1-7)
  We are looking for teachers interested in being trained in the Wilson Reading System (WRS) . A structured, phonics-based Science of Reading program to support students in Grades 1-7 with reading, spelling, and literacy development.
• Primary/Junior Math and Language Arts Tutor (Grades 1-6)
• Junior/Intermediate Math, Science and/or Language Tutor (Grades 6-10)
• Senior Math Tutor (Grades 11-12)
• Senior Science Tutor (Grades 11-12 - Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• Core and French Immersion Tutor (Grades 1-12)

Our Tutors

Our tutors meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Are in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or are certified to teach in another Canadian province or territory.

• Are current teacher candidates enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program.

• Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian university or college.

In addition, our tutors:

• Are passionate about teaching and committed to helping students succeed.

• Have prior tutoring or classroom experience.

• Develop a positive and professional relationship with students and their families.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in the student's home (with an adult present).

• Travel to students' homes within a 20-minute commute by TTC or car.

• Demonstrate knowledge of and familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum.

• Prepare and organize relevant lesson materials tailored to each student.

• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to parents.

Compensation:

Starting at $40 an hour depending on experience and qualifications
