Dunblaine is a small, specialized school that supports students with a range of learning disabilities. We offer individualized programming, small class sizes, and a nurturing environment where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential.
What You ll Do:
- Develop and deliver individualized programming aligned with Ontario Curriculum expectations
- Create and implement IEPs tailored to each student s strengths and needs
- Modify and adapt instructional strategies to support learning goals
- Use ongoing assessment to inform instruction and track student progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educational assistants, therapists, and families
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
What You Bring:
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification required
- Special Education qualifications (Special Education Part 1 or higher) and/or equivalent classroom experience with students who have exceptionalities
- Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and behavior support strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A commitment to student well-being, equity, and academic growth
Nice to Have:
- Training or experience with structured literacy, assistive technology, or ABA
- Experience working in an independent or alternative school setting
- High school teaching qualifications and/or experience
