About Ateko

At Ateko a Bell Canada Company, we empower some of the world's largest enterprises to harness the full potential of their technology platforms. We're looking for a Engagement Director who can jump right in - someone who is a creative thinker with an eye for technical details, passionate about problem-solving, building relationships, and connecting with customers and colleagues.

Why Join Us

At Ateko we work on high-impact projects for some of the biggest names in tech, finance, and beyond. Our culture is collaborative and modern, and we're committed to helping you grow.

Competitive salary, training, and health coverage are all great. But it's the "extras" that really make our employees feel appreciated.

Here's what sets us apart:

  • Flexibility: More than half of our team works remotely, and our culture and policies are designed to support work-life balance, no matter where you are.

  • Professional Growth: Share your expertise on our blog or speak at international conferences-we'll help you build your professional profile.

  • Work-Life Balance: 3 weeks vacation, and 10 additional personal days are available, as we recognize the importance of downtime to recharge.

  • Peer Recognition: Celebrate wins with peer-nominated awards and performance bonuses.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: We strive for a gender-balanced workplace with a near 50/50 split of male and female-identifying employees, and we recognize our diversity as one of our greatest strengths

  • Giving Back: As a Pledge 1% company, we dedicate time and resources to making a positive impact. Employees have 20 working hours per year to spend doing volunteer work at the organization of their choice.

  • For Halifax-based team members, enjoy these extras:

    • A stunning downtown office with breathtaking views-even on foggy days

    • All the coffee, tea, Bubly water (we're serious about this), and Clif bars you can handle

    • A meditation/religious room for quiet moments

    • Weekly Thursday team lunches

What we're looking for

Ateko is seeking an Engagement Director, the most critical strategic partner for our largest enterprise clients. In this role, you are not just a manager of projects; you are the orchestrator of transformation, the trusted C-suite advisor, and the central champion for client value. You will leverage your deep business acumen and innate curiosity to intelligently probe stakeholder needs, uncover what they value most, and translate those priorities into actionable, high-impact engagements delivered by our expert teams. This is a role where you will build lasting executive relationships and ensure our "white glove service" reputation translates into measurable success and growth for our clients in regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Partnership & Value Discovery

    • Act as the primary trusted advisor for our most strategic customers, guiding them through complex, mission-critical transformations.

    • Go beyond stated requirements to uncover core business needs and objectives, ensuring every engagement is anchored to delivering maximum client ROI.

    • Lead comprehensive engagement planning, project kickoffs, and strategic roadmap development in close partnership with clients and internal Project Managers.

    • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, championing their priorities and ensuring our delivery teams are aligned on achieving their desired outcomes.

  • Flawless Delivery & Commercial Oversight

    • Maintain ultimate accountability for engagement success, providing guidance and oversight to the delivery team to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

    • Establish and lead executive-level communication, including weekly sponsor check-ins and daily touchpoints during high-intensity periods.

    • Proactively manage engagement financials, project operational compliance, and the seamless management of service extensions and renewals, similar to managing multi-million dollar budgets and driving significant cost savings.

  • Team & Practice Leadership

    • Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to Ateko team members, sharing your deep industry and platform expertise to elevate the entire practice.

    • Represent and reinforce Ateko's values with the internal team, clients, and our partners at Salesforce.

    • Continuously stay updated on Salesforce products, emerging trends, and market conditions to bring a valuable perspective to clients and the team.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership Experience: 4+ years of experience leading complex technology solution deployments, either in a premier consulting services firm or in a senior program leadership role within a large enterprise. You have a track record of successfully managing multiple teams, priorities, and large budgets.

  • Business Acumen & Value Discovery: You possess an innate curiosity and the proven ability to facilitate executive-level discussions to uncover core business challenges and opportunities. You don't just take orders; you challenge assumptions to get to the root of client needs.

  • Executive Presence & Communication: You command a room and build trust with ease. You have exceptional, demonstrated abilities in relationship-building and influencing C-suite stakeholders, translating complex technical information into clear business value.

  • A Master of Orchestration: You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and have a history of bringing order to chaos. Your strategic planning, process innovation, and risk management skills are second to none.

  • A Passion for Client Success: You are intrinsically motivated to deliver an amazing client experience. You build strong, long-term relationships and are relentlessly focused on ensuring your client's success becomes your own.

  • Eligibility to Work in Canada: You are a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident of Canada, or hold a valid work permit.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce technologies or CRM platforms

  • Familiarity with the technical consulting industry and enterprise software solutions

  • Proficiency in French is a strong asset as we continue to grow our French-speaking client base.
