Position Overview:
We are currently hiring two full-time Academic Advisors who will play a key role in supporting students and families from enrollment through academic success. This position combines academic planning, progress monitoring, student support, and administrative coordination. It is ideal for candidates who are passionate about education, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an outstanding experience for students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide new families through the enrollment process and onboarding
Provide ongoing academic advising and personalized learning support for students in Grades 3-8
Develop, implement, and track individual learning plans aligned with student goals and the Ontario curriculum
Monitor student performance and proactively communicate progress with families
Coordinate with tutors to ensure academic strategies are consistent and effective
Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and communication logs
Support administrative tasks including scheduling, academic documentation, and reporting
Communicate professionally with families, staff, and external stakeholders
Assist in preparing academic materials, certificates, and reports for internal and external purposes
Support outreach initiatives and represent the Academy at events or parent meetings as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in academic advising, education coordination, or student support services
- Solid knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and school system (Grades 3-8 preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a student- and family-focused mindset
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, LMS platforms, or student management systems is an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced academic setting
