Our Client is a national insurance, benefits and healthcare provider. As they undertake a cloud transformation, they are looking to engage a contractor to provide Vendor Management services.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include overseeing contract compliance, enhancing budget forecasting, and streamlining vendor renewals. The specialist will work to refine intake and approval processes, optimize payment terms, and implement IT procurement policies for better control.
Key Activities:
Managing supplier relationships, improving contingent workforce efficiency, and supporting technology rationalization and modernization efforts. Additionally, the role will drive supplier negotiations, and assist in technology depreciation planning to minimize risks. Close collaboration with internal teams such as the Architectural Review Board, Third Party Risk Management and Legal will be critical to ensure compliance and cohesive vendor management practices, aligning with both internal policies and external regulations.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in IT procurement or contract management, with expertise in contract compliance, vendor management, and strategic sourcing, as well as a proven track record in optimizing procurement processes, managing vendor performance, consolidating contracts, and handling renewals, risk mitigation, and compliance tracking.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management, particularly in IT, along with excellent project management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and experience with procurement systems and tools. They should also have strong analytical skills for assessing contract terms and vendor performance, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset for driving continuous improvement in procurement processes, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with both vendors and internal stakeholders. They should also demonstrate excellent attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
