Our client is a licensed cannabis producer located in the Greater Kelowna area, focused on small-batch cultivation of premium flower in a highly controlled, craft-scale environment.
They are seeking a Head Grower to take complete ownership of cultivation and post-harvest operations, driving plant health, yield, quality, and consistency while maintaining full regulatory compliance. This is a leadership position for an experienced cultivator who can represent ownership on-site, build and lead a high-performance team, and oversee every aspect of the plant lifecycle-from mother room to final product.
MUST have 4+ year of Cannabis cultivation management experience in a Canadian LP.
This role is full-time, onsite. Relocation will be offered for the right candidate. Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all daily cultivation operations including propagation, veg, flower, irrigation, fertigation, pruning, IPM, harvest, drying, trimming, and curing.
- Oversee and optimize plant health, strain performance, yield outcomes, and production quality to meet premium flower standards.
- Manage daily facility operations, including cultivation, post-harvest processing, inventory, and facility maintenance.
- Maintain strict compliance with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations and GACP standards-ensuring all documentation, environmental logs, and batch records are audit-ready at all times.
- Manage and mentor cultivation and processing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Develop and manage production schedules, environmental controls, nutrient regimes, and pest/disease management protocols.
- Enter cultivation, production and sanitation information into eQMS on a daily basis.
- Work closely with QAP to proactively ensure compliance, sanitation, and product integrity throughout the cultivation and post-harvest workflow.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial cannabis cultivation experience in a Health Canada-licensed facility, with demonstrable leadership as a Head Grower, Cultivation Manager, or similar.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing cultivation teams in a regulated production environment.
- Expert knowledge of cultivation systems, including lighting, HVAC, irrigation/fertigation, and IPM.
- Experience with SOP development, team training, and facility sanitation protocols.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and GACP standards; experience working closely with QAP is preferred.
- Data-driven mindset with strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Comfortable taking full accountability for plant outcomes, compliance, and operational performance.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and willing to relocate to the Kelowna region (relocation assistance available).
