Job Purpose

We are currently looking for a Small Tool Mechanic to come and join our team. You will work to keep chain hoists, comealongs, turfers and other rigging gear etc. in top running condition through an effective preventative maintenance program. This position is Monday to Friday with the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm.

What you will do

• Cleaning and preparation of small industrial tools
• Assist in the loading and unloading of rental items
• Perform maintenance on small tool rental items
• Assist with service and maintenance record keeping
• Replace parts as required to meet manufacturers specifications under supervision
• Perform safety inspections on equipment
• Attend all training as directed
• Meet all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and properly handle company tools
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and complete repairs on rigging tools (Manufacturer Training is available)
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Willingness to learn and ability to comprehend complex equipment repairs
• May need to safely use personal mechanic's tools
• Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments
• Personal and professional integrity
• Proficient computer skills - enter work orders, diagnose issues, etc.
• Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety

Conditions of Employment

• Minimum 2 years' experience repairing chain hoists, come alongs and tirfors.

• Ability to travel when called upon
• Valid driver's license
• A recent drivers abstract will be required
