Position Title: Sales Manager
Location: Calgary, AB, T2B 3M1
Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager or designate, with responsibilities to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will be accountable for the overall success at the Calgary Business unit within their area of responsibility. They will achieve this through leading a team of Sales Representatives in driving growth in sales at targeted margin levels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement new sales initiatives and plans that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
• Oversee and manage all sales channels, including Retail and Food Service, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and support Sales Representatives in achieving business growth. Train, develop, and guide the business unit's sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs and territory reviews to assess performance, provide coaching, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage and measure the Management by Objective (MBO) program within your area to ensure alignment with company targets.
• Plan and execute regular sales meetings to communicate goals, share updates and foster team collaboration.
• Provide timely and accurate written reports on sales activities. Ensure all administrative functions related to sales are executed efficiently and on schedule.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Animal protein knowledge considered a strong asset.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation or industry.
• 3 to 5 years of related industry experience required.
• A combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.
