Our client is a privately held Canadian manufacturer specializing in plastic products, with headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario. Established in 1989, the company operates over 135 injection molding and profile extrusion machines across three facilities totaling approximately one million square feet. Their vertically integrated operations include recycling and material compounding capabilities, supported by an ISO 17000-compliant laboratory .

They're looking for a National Account Manager to manage, direct and promote the sale of existing products and initiate the development of new products to meet customer needs to achieve sales and profit objectives. Responsible for all sales activities within a pre-determined industry. Develop new market opportunities.

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate, plan, implement, and manage sales strategies for existing and potential accounts and new business.

• Prospect the market for potential new business and customers.

• Provide direct sales service to existing customers and recommend development of new products and consequent developmental progression with operations.

• Project management to include maintaining the lines of communication between sales, manufacturing, engineering, accounting, purchasing, and customer service.

• Forecast annual sales volume by account and potential new business and accountable for profit and loss.

• Forecast annual expense budgets and manage territory within approved budgets.

• Develop sales plans, progression and budgets.

• Plan and deliver customer presentations, participate in promotional events and opportunities.

• Manage and increase customer relationships through product knowledge, marketplace trends & and strategies.

• Prepare & deliver quotations within 24 hours.

• Internal consultation on customer-related issues (i.e. quality, new tool development, product performance).

• Prepare engineering and tooling documents regularly.

• Possess and maintain valid travel documentation - up to 40% international travel.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

• Solid knowledge within plastics industry, in particular with Extrusion manufacturing processes

• Basic knowledge of Engineering and Tooling

• Willingness to work extended and/or flexible hours

EXPERIENCE

• Eight plus years' senior sales experience in plastics manufacturing, preferably with an extrusion background in an OEM, Business to Business sales leading role capacity with relevance to conceptual or technical selling strategies.

• Experience in OEM industries - appliance, construction, building materials, architecture, furniture, transportation, material handling.

EDUCATION

• University or College Diploma and equivalent experience above.
