As the Program Management Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Program Management Office, and Benefits Realization, you will provide support to program management activities across the continuum from strategic to operational that ensures alignment with Supply Ontario's (SOs) mandate and business requirements.

Other key responsibilities include:

Program Oversight

  • Working with the Program and Performance Management Lead and the Senior Program Management Analyst to create deliverables used to communicate with key stakeholders, senior leadership teams and project teams and supporting in strengthening internal program and project management and oversight.
  • Ensuring that projects and programs are in alignment with business goals and are expected to yield projected outcomes and benefits and consider factors such as horizontal program management and evaluation initiatives, implementation issues, and program impacts of proposed initiatives.
  • Working with project delivery teams to review scope, outcomes, issues, risks, progress, and schedule changes that may impact deliverables.
  • Supporting project teams in planning and strategy discussions and ensure that projects remain on schedule, and that corporate goals are met and expected benefits are realized.
  • Assisting project teams and stakeholders in developing project metrics to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Providing technical support and training to staff on methodologies and best practices to strengthen SOs capacity in project and program management.
  • Providing project management leadership, as assigned.
  • Producing comprehensive reports of agency programs/projects to project stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in procurement program management methodologies and best practices by conducting research and environmental/jurisdiction scans.
  • Supporting the Program and Performance Management Lead and the Senior Program Management Analyst with research analysis (quantitative, visual, and qualitative analysis) on program management and business transformation initiatives

Stakeholder Relations

  • Liaising with project stakeholders to develop an overall understanding of each project initiative to understand the potential impact and service and program delivery requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships and support throughout the lifecycle of projects and initiatives
  • Supporting SO's customer service standards, enabling vendor and client success and business improvement/continuous improvement activities.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Completion of a postsecondary diploma or degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4 - 5 years of experience with project management or program analysis
  • Experience in the public sector procurement and in a start up environment is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of program analysis and performance measurement methods and techniques, including the development and reporting of output and outcome-based performance measures, and establishing. baselines, and setting targets.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and methodologies to assist project teams in managing risks and developing risk management frameworks to minimize occurrence of issues
  • Advisory and facilitation skills to work with stakeholders to develop their understanding of program management principles and best practices.
  • Project management skills and problem-solving skills to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational functions and levels. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Project, Visio, Power BI) and other internal applications, as required.

This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement; at the time of posting, this position would require in-office presence 3 days per week, based on current operational requirements.
