Job Description:
We are seeking Academic Clinicians with expertise in Ontario's primary care system to provide strategic advisory support for a province-wide health transformation initiative. This is a part-time, 1-year contract (approx. 8 hours per week), fully remote, with flexible engagement starting
You will join a small, high-impact advisory team supporting the Ontario Primary Care Action Plan (PCAP), aimed at connecting over 2 million Ontarians to primary care by 2029.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise on the implementation of Ontario's Primary Care Act and related health system policies
Provide subject matter expertise on team-based care models and interprofessional primary care teams
Contribute to development of performance indicators, guidance documents, and evaluation frameworks
Support strategies focused on physician workforce planning, patient access, and quality improvement
Advise on addressing gaps in care for underserved populations, including Indigenous communities
Minimum Qualifications:
️ Practicing or recently practicing family physician or primary care clinician
️ Academic affiliation with a Canadian medical school or public health institution
️ Demonstrated leadership in health policy design, implementation, or primary care evaluation
️ Strong understanding of Ontario's interprofessional primary care models
Preferred Qualifications:
️ Experience advising on workforce retention, care team standards, and system-level change
️ Published or contributed to clinical guidelines, research, or health policy documents
️ Experience leading or participating in clinician advisory groups
Contract Details:
- Term: 1 year
- Time Commitment: 8 hours/week
- Location: Remote (Ontario-based expertise preferred)
