Our client a well respected Canadian manufacturer in the building materials space has partnered with St-Amour in search of a Territory Manager - Western Canada that will cover the Alberta, B.C. and northern U.S. territory.
The Territory Manager will be responsible to develop sales of the territory. Support distribution customers and OEM accounts to increase the market share and profitability of their territory. The TM will be responsible to introduce new products to end users and distributors, support distribution sales teams in the sales development of companies products and continuously looks for new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Promote companies products to existing customers by presenting the benefits and features of the products.
- On an ongoing basis, participate in the business development; developing OEM accounts and working with distributors to promote products and develop new business with end-users.
- Participate in the development of new products, promotions and trade shows when required.
- Collaborate in negotiating pricing and terms of sale with the support of available financial and analytical tools and sales manager. Document and update as needed the contracts/price pages of their territory.
- Follow-up orders for clients in their territory.
- Manage client product claims and complaints.
- Present territory budgets annually, update the territory sales forecasts (monthly).
- Travel in the territory as required to perform the duties as described above.
- Effectively process pricing documents accurately and timely to support the customer service team.
- Provide a monthly report outlining market activity and actions being taken in the market to develop business within the territory.
- Follow applicable antitrust and competition guidelines when conducting activity in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years' experience in sales of industrial products, a university degree in business administration or equivalent and/or several years of relevant work experience.
