Job Summary:
Operate, program, and maintain CNC equipment (both laser and router)
Design, cut, and assemble mechanical components for Spyder prototypes, products, or demonstration units
Identify problems, propose suitable solutions, and implement the solutions
Assemble and repair mechanical portions of our testing jigs. This would require good eyesight, manual dexterity, creative problem solving, and competent use of a variety of tools including our CNC equipment, drills, saws, router, belt sander, and many types of hand tools
Maintain professionalism in the workplace, remain composed under pressure while meeting deadlines, and maintain a regular schedule with occasional extended hours
On occasion, some travel may be required
Position may also include other related projects, or other tasks as required

Compensation: Annual compensation will start in the range of $50,000 to $75,000 depending on applicant experience, credentials, and performance. A benefits package (including pooled insurance benefits, a health spending account, TFSA and/or RRSP with matching, paid sick leave, etc.) will be provided after probationary period is completed.
Applicant Qualifications:
Legally entitled to live and work in Canada, and live within 45 minutes of Lacombe, Alberta
Experience with operating and maintaining CNC equipment
Experience with fabrication, manufacturing, or construction
Experience using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Office
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong spatial visualization ability
Ability to grasp concepts quickly, with high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Self motivated with the ability to work independently, and good collaboration with staff and clients
Innovative and creative problem solving
Experience with CAD Software (especially SolidWorks)
Experience with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW
