Business Systems Analyst, HR Solutions (Contract Position)

Note: this is a PART-TIME role (20 hours per week) Workday experience is required.
Mostly remote, needs based in office visit when required
Roles and responsibilities
As a Business Systems Analyst, HR Solutions, you will support the IT Enterprise Applications team in delivering and maintaining business solutions that enhance HR operations. You will work closely with the HR team, senior analysts, and external vendors to support the Workday HCM platform and other HR systems. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to apply your Workday expertise while quickly adapting to evolving business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Support: Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the Workday HCM platform.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements.
• Testing and Implementation: Participate in testing activities, including test case creation and execution.
• Documentation: Help create user guides, training materials, and system documentation.
• Collaboration: Work with HR stakeholders and IT team members to provide timely support and solutions.
• Process Improvement: Contribute ideas for improving HR processes and enhancing the user experience.
• Prioritization: Effectively manage and balance multiple concurrent initiatives and enhancement requests.
Must have skills/qualifications/experience
• Education: University degree (computer science, Information Technology or human resources preferred) or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
• Experience:
o 2-5 years of relevant experience in ERP systems, or a combination of education and experience.
o 2-5 yrs of previous hands-on experience with Workday is required, ideally in modules such as HCM, Payroll, Absence, or Compensation.
• Skills:
o Knowledge of ERP principles, SDLC, and data security management.
o Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and operations
o Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
o Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
o Creativity and innovation in designing solutions and process improvements.
• Tools: Proficiency in MS productivity tools (e.g., Office, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
• Exposure to Workday reporting or integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 or Power Platform tools.
