Position Summary/Objective:

Reporting into the Brand Manager, the Assistant Brand Manager, is responsible for supporting brand activities from planning to execution for some of our most exciting and upcoming brands in both Canada and the US. They will have the unique opportunity to influence projects in various categories and liaise cross-functionally across the business. The ideal candidate is agile, resourceful, curious and solution oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the commercialization process from planning to execution for all innovation, renovations, and discontinuations:

o Coordinate and keep the team organized (through templates, timelines, coordination of inputs from cross-functional teams and facilitation of meetings).

o Support in the identification of cross-functional risks, bottle necks and works to find solutions.

o Keep the team informed of updates and challenges.

o Master data management and SKU registration on platforms like GS1, IX-One.

• Actively support the development and execution of brand plans to deliver on key brand and business goals.

• Develop and manage the execution of marketing activities that support the overall brand plan (couponing, sampling, demo kits, partnerships, etc.) and the reporting of results.

• Closely monitor competitive landscape, activities and brand performance through data mining, brand reporting, deduce implications and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

• Assist in the development and updates to brand social and digital content to ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.

• Support budget management through POs, invoicing, and tracking.

• Coordinate requests for sales materials, ad mats, and retail toolkits.

• Coordinate both internal and external events followed by post-event assessments.

• Manage inventory and brand merchandising program, from sourcing to distribution.

• Oversee product donations and cultivate strong working relationships with external partners.

• Support portfolio optimization and SKU rationalization.

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Business, or related fields.

• 1-3 years' experience in CPG/retail or other consumer facing organization working in Brand or Project Management.

• Collaborative cross-functional partnership expertise.

• Strong analytic skills - experience with SPINS, Nielsen, distilling data into tangible actions. Strong computer skills, Intermediate level Microsoft Office 2007 Word & Excel.

• Solid understanding of P&L.

• Strong communication skills and an ownership mentality.

• Excellent planning, multitasking and time management skills, is comfortable with ambiguity and is adaptable and agile to change.
