Bring Precision to Life. Help Shape the Infrastructure of Tomorrow.

At AE Concrete, we don't just make concrete products-we create civil infrastructure solutions that shape communities. As a Draftsperson, you'll be at the heart of our Engineering team, translating ideas into precise technical drawings that guide production and ensure we meet customer expectations with clarity, quality, and efficiency.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team in a company where respect for people and continuous improvement drive success. As a Draftsperson, you'll support our Engineering department by preparing accurate, detailed drawings of precast concrete products. You'll collaborate with Sales, Production, and Operations to ensure technical accuracy, help solve problems, and support ongoing improvements across projects and processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Create, modify, and review 2D product drawings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure drawings meet estimates, contracts, manufacturing standards, and engineering specifications.
  • Actively collaborate across departments to resolve production issues, clarify requirements, and meet deadlines.
  • Support internal initiatives such as drafting standards, document distribution, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Visit the production facility as needed to better understand our products, processes, and real-world applications.
  • Meet deadlines through effective scheduling, proactive communication, and overtime flexibility when required.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of drafting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Certificate or diploma in a relevant technical program is an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Vectorworks is required; strong Microsoft Office skills also needed.
  • Understanding of precast concrete, construction drawings, and manufacturing processes is a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a true team player.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt to shifting demands, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
