The Estimator is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for accurately forecasting project costs, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring that project specifications are communicated effectively to the installation and production teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

This position is base out of our office at 6501 2 nd Line, Tottenham, ON.

Your Responsibilities

• Estimations & Proposals including Information gathering, verification + dissemination for proper quoting
• Use of Estimation Software - The Edge.
• Lead Management & CRM Management, Lead Generation: you understand the importance of prompt and timely response to client needs. Follow-up is your middle name!
• Contract Management
• Site & Client Visits
• Record Keeping: orderly records are everything, you have them by date, by client, by lead-stage, by contract type.
• Reporting: you are expected to prepare and present weekly reports detailing estimation progress, upcoming bids, review timelines, submitted proposals, contract awards, and schedules. Ensure that all bids & leads are adequately reviewed, approved, and tracked.

Qualifications/What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in project estimation, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in using estimation tools, preferably The Edge estimator.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, a team player who influences.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, the importance of precision cannot be understated.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM systems.
• Go-getter: for example, you might ask for elaboration on your responsibilities, or better yet tell us!
• Ability to travel to various sites and customer locations.
• Professional "business presence" combined with initiative; unquestionable integrity and ethics and sound business judgement
• Strong results orientation and follow through among senior leaders in existing and target organizations - you consistently PROVE you can, not just say it.
