Fuel Truck Inc. is currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team at our Lasalle office. The schedule for this position is Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Dispatcher will be responsible for maintaining clear communication with our fleet of drivers, providing guidance, and ensuring the efficient and on-time delivery of loads.

Job Summary:

  • Book, schedule and dispatch trucks as per hours of service.
  • Track & Trace shipment to ensure the well conduct of the operation.
  • Communicate and assign trips to drivers.
  • Coordinate shipments and records for cross-border travel.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for customs.
  • Data entry of shipment in the software.
  • Maintain driver permit books to keep them compliant.
  • Assist the Operation Director in the global coordination of the operation department.
  • Any other task requested for the well conduct of the operation.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in cross-border dispatching. (Canada/ US)
  • Rate per mile knowledge and accountability experience relative to present day market standards.
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics software, such as PC Miler and TMW. (an asset)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Good knowledge of USA and Canada Geography.
  • Perfectly bilingual. (English/French). The requirement of another language is required for this position as the candidate will be required to interact and communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues throughout North America.
