Responsibilities:
- Oversee shift maintenance operations and supervise hourly maintenance employees.
- Maximize utilization of workers, equipment, and materials in alignment with cost and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs and coordinate with vendors for repair items or parts.
- Direct and guide tradespeople to meet production and maintenance objectives.
- Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support programs related to safety, facility maintenance, grounds, and equipment installations.
- Communicate effectively within a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Administer the Collective Agreement and enforce company policies, including employee discipline when required.
Requirements:
- Valid 433A (Millwright) or 442A (Electrician) license.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ERP, CMMS, and MRP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adaptability to evolving technology and equipment environments.
- Degree in Industrial Relations or related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience.
- Able to work in night shift.
