FundyPros Specialty Construction is one of New Brunswick's most respected construction service providers-known for its high standards, dependable project delivery, and people-first approach.

As the organization continues to grow, they're seeking an Area Manager to oversee project execution, lead workforce development, and ensure safety compliance across the region. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong construction expertise, team management experience, and a passion for operational excellence.

About the Role

The Area Manager plays a key role in overseeing project management, supervising construction activities, supporting employee development, and ensuring health and safety compliance across job sites. This position also provides strategic oversight of workforce performance in partnership with the Resource Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project estimating, budgeting, and cost forecasting for labour, materials, and equipment
  • Plan, schedule, and track the progress of construction projects to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Oversee contractor relations, procurement, and contractual agreements
  • Monitor site operations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
  • Hire, train, and supervise employees and subcontractors across multiple projects
  • Support onboarding, development, and performance management of Installer teams
  • Conduct site audits, lead safety investigations, and enforce health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the Resource Manager on workforce planning, scheduling, and KPI tracking
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and professional development
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and vendors, ensuring smooth communication and project execution

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in drywall or construction-related fields
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management and trades
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and project planning tools
  • Proven leadership experience, with a focus on coaching and team development
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable navigating multiple projects and priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Working Conditions

This is a dynamic role with a mix of office, on-site, and in-field responsibilities. The Area Manager will work in varied conditions including construction sites, where they'll be exposed to noise, dust, and outdoor weather. PPE and adherence to all safety practices are mandatory.
