What is your role?
We're seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst in Portfolio Management for a 3-month project, to join our client's transformation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work alongside senior change management leaders while driving critical organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to portfolio management activities by assisting in project prioritization, tracking delivery progress across initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business strategy and capacity planning.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new feature implementations.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure solutions align with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, Developers, and Architects to translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Support end-to-end project lifecycle: from requirements elicitation and validation through to UAT and post-implementation review.
- Conduct data analysis, gap assessments, and system impact analyses using tools such as SQL, Excel, or Power BI.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and enhance user experience, particularly in digital banking, CRM, or lending systems.
- Prepare documentation including process flows, use cases, BRDs, and training guides as required.
- Support change management activities, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional team coordination.
What is your profile?
- 3+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or a related field.
- experience with portfolio management systems (e.g. Charles River, SimCorp, Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, etc.)
- Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Comfortable working with Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Temenos, SAP, or internal banking systems).
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with an ability to interact effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of banking products or operations (e.g., digital banking, wealth management, lending, or risk).
- Hands-on experience with data querying (e.g., SQL) or analytics/BI tools.
- Exposure to compliance, privacy, or cybersecurity considerations in system delivery.
- Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
