The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Excellence & Execution:
- Assist the Executive Banquet Chef in the daily operation and management of the banquet kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Oversee and actively participate in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and plating for banquet events, including large-scale functions, intimate gatherings, and special dietary requests.
- Maintain strict adherence to recipes, portion controls, and production schedules to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of banquet cooks and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure clear communication within the kitchen brigade.
Hygiene & Safety:
- Uphold regulatory standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all kitchen areas
- Liaise effectively with the Executive Banquet Chef, Executive Chef, and other culinary leaders.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the banquet sales team, event planners, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a high-volume banquet operation in a luxury hotel or similar five-star establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training from an accredited institution.
- Proven expertise in various cooking techniques and a diverse range of cuisines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
