Project Overview:

An exciting opportunity to join a major digital transformation initiative aimed at modernizing and unifying driver, vehicle, and carrier-related systems into a single, streamlined platform. The project involves complex stakeholder engagement, compliance with legislative requirements, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and translate business and functional requirements into system functionalities.
  • Facilitate workshops and process walkthroughs with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Perform gap analysis of current vs. future state processes.
  • Document user stories, personas, journey maps, system use cases, and flow diagrams.
  • Create mock-ups and validate requirements with subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to support modular design and system decomposition.
  • Support development of detailed business and functional specifications.
  • Assist with UAT, including planning and execution support.
  • Experience with Alberta Traffic Safety Act and regulations, particularly as pertain to Carrier Services.
  • Identify opportunities for business process or policy improvements.
  • Collaborate with privacy/security teams for impact assessments.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and project documentation activities.

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience translating business requirements into detailed functional/system specifications.
  • 8+ years of experience documenting business processes, workflows, and user requirements.
  • 8+ years of experience preparing technical/system design documentation.
  • 8+ years of experience with CMS, DMS, and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
  • 6+ years of experience supporting UAT, including test case validation and plan development.
  • 4+ years of experience assisting with business test activities and results validation.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Knowledge of legislation and policies related to carrier, driver, or vehicle services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes and public sector standards.
  • 4+ years of experience in evaluating policies/programs using performance indicators.
  • 4+ years of experience in creating formal documentation across a range of initiatives.
  • Experience using Agile or Hybrid methodologies (e.g., SCRUM).
  • Experience working with tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
