Are you a seasoned Release and Cutover Manager who thrives on orchestrating complex enterprise-level software releases in hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise)?
Our client, an established employer in Vancouver is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Release and Cutover Manager to join their team. This role will be key in multiple implementation projects within a significant cybersecurity transformation program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with enterprise applications and fast-paced environments.
This is a 6-month contract to start with potential to extend; hybrid 20% of the week in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise software releases from planning to post-release validation.
- Develop integrated release and cutover plans for complex projects.
- Orchestrate go-live activities, including defining go/no-go criteria and post-go-live reporting.
- Manage release risks and quality, conducting assessments and monitoring metrics.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment across various teams, including vendors and integrators.
- Manage ambiguity and resolve conflicts while maintaining process discipline.
- Create detailed release documentation and communication plans.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading complex software releases in large enterprise environments (e.g., public sector, healthcare, government) a must !
- Strong, hands-on experience leading enterprise software releases, including cutover planning, stakeholder alignment, issue/risk mitigation, and orchestration of go/no-go decisions.
- Essential experience leading releases in hybrid environments (cloud SaaS/COTS/ECOTS and legacy/on-prem systems).
- Understanding of technical debt, infrastructure constraints, and dependencies during release planning and execution.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to form a tight-knit delivery pod with QA Leads and analysts.
- Minimum of 8+ years of combined experience in Project Management and Cutover/Release Planning, including on-premise, technical integrations, and SaaS deployments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or a related field is highly desirable.
