Role Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Marketing Designer (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Campaign Specialist) to join a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on building a best-in-class personalized marketing ecosystem. This position plays a central role in developing, executing, and optimizing 1:1 digital journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), enabling automated and data-driven communications across key customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy marketing journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio).
- Create and manage responsive templates, A/B tests, dynamic content, filters, forms, and triggered automations.
- Configure audience entry/exit/re-entry rules and decision splits aligned with marketing goals.
- Execute QA and technical validation of journey builds across devices and segments.
- Develop highly dynamic, personalized campaigns using AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and segmentation logic.
- Maintain data extensions and leverage CDC (Customer Data Cloud) for advanced audience segmentation.
- Provide campaign performance insights and contribute to journey optimization sessions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Marketing, Analytics, and Business Units to align campaign execution with strategy.
- Support onboarding and upskilling of specialists on SFMC best practices and platform capabilities.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7+ years of overall experience in marketing/campaign execution roles.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Data Extensions).
- Proficiency in AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and dynamic scripting for email customization.
- Strong understanding of CRM concepts, campaign management, segmentation strategy, and journey orchestration.
- Familiarity with CASL and regulatory frameworks for Canadian email marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns in a deadline-driven environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- SFMC certifications (Administrator, Email Specialist, or Developer).
- Experience working in Financial Services or other highly regulated sectors.
- SQL proficiency for automation, analysis, and data integrity checks.
- Experience in a Center of Excellence (CoE) model or journey orchestration setup.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience within matrixed environments.
