Account Manager - Industrial & Agri-Food Sector

Calgary, AB Full-Time On-Site with Travel

Our customer, a long-standing and team-driven organization in the industrial and agri-food supply space, is seeking a seasoned Account Manager to deepen existing client relationships and drive long-term growth through consultative, technical sales. This is not a cold-calling role-success here comes from insight, foresight, and trust-building with long-cycle accounts.

Why This Role?

  • Competitive base salary ($95K-$105K+, depending on experience)
  • Performance-based bonus: 5-10% at baseline, 20%+ when targets are met
  • Frequent flyer perks: all travel expenses covered with a company card, plus mileage reimbursement or rental for drivable trips
  • Full tools provided-phone, laptop, CRM access
  • Join a collaborative, close-knit team where leadership is engaged and mentorship is hands-on

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a strategic partner to established clients-understanding operations, anticipating needs, and positioning solutions ahead of demand
  • Build relationships through site visits, business reviews, and technical sales presentations to both field-level and executive audiences
  • Collaborate with a business development lead who feeds the pipeline, allowing you to focus on growth, service, and client satisfaction
  • Travel regularly across Western Canada (approx. 40-50%) to nurture accounts and maintain a strong client presence
  • Maintain CRM documentation (MS Dynamics/HubSpot) to support sales forecasting and planning
  • Leverage a strong internal CSR team and SPIN-based sales support system

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of B2B account management experience, ideally in agriculture, food, or industrial sectors
  • Proven success managing complex, technical sales with long decision cycles
  • Ability to navigate both field operations and boardrooms with equal ease
  • Strong communication, forecasting, and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

This is a role for those who take pride in mastering their accounts, who thrive on autonomy and impact, and who are energized by building something meaningful over time.
