Our client, a reputable electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their growing team in a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the delivery of commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
This is an on-site position, located in Ottawa, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate projects to ensure timelines and budgets are met
- Manage documentation including RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, and closeouts
- Support procurement by evaluating vendor quotes and managing material deliveries
- Track job site progress and ensure project compliance with contract specs
- Use AutoCAD and BIM tools to assist with design layouts and as-built documentation
- Maintain accurate project records and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical contracting or construction project coordination
- Post-secondary education in related field.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction processes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
