Job Title: Senior Cost Control Clerk

Location: Downtown Toronto

Length: 23 Month Contract

Rate: $50-55/hour

Your new role

  • Responsible for facilitating and supporting the quality and timely attestation of field tickets (eFT/LEMS),
  • Reconcile invoices and book accruals as directed by the project controller.
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members in the application of the field ticketing, LEMS and invoicing process
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure compliance with budget and schedule objectives.
  • Track and manage supplier and contractor invoices; ensure timely processing, approvals, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Prepare and manage project requisitions using SAP Project Systems.
  • Support monthly cost reporting and forecasting activities in coordination with project controls, finance, and project management teams.
  • Help maintain purchase orders (POs)

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A diploma or certification in project management or supply chain could also enhance candidacy.
  • SAP Project Systems (PS) experience is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and familiarity with document control processes.
  • Strong Excel skills for cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of LEMS (Labor Equipment Material Systems) or eFT (electronic field tickets)-including the ability to coach others on using them properly.
  • Hands-on experience in invoice reconciliation, project cost control, and vendor invoicing.
  • Understanding of accrual booking and monthly cost forecasting/reporting cycles.
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows and purchase order management.
  • Analytical mindset to identify discrepancies and cost variances.
