Job Title: IT Infrastructure Architect
Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)
Location: North York/Hybrid (1-2 days per week)
Role Summary
This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture & Security. The selected resource will lead infrastructure modernization, architecture planning, and cloud-readiness initiatives to support our clients evolving IT strategy.
The Infrastructure Architect will define and guide technical solutions, oversee RFI/RFP processes, and support the buildout of the long-term roadmap and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across infrastructure domains: network, storage, backup, computing, end-user devices (Windows, mobile, IoT/OT), and security.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture, standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Create conceptual, logical, and technical architecture diagrams and documentation.
- Lead the creation of technology capability maps and 3-5-year roadmaps.
- Support procurement processes (RFI/RFP), vendor evaluations, and technology selection.
- Conduct current state assessments and define future state roadmaps.
- Collaborate with application, data, and security architects to ensure cohesive solutions.
- Provide third-level support and guidance to infrastructure teams.
- Participate in Architecture and IT Security Review Committees.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of industry best practices.
- Document all work to ensure seamless operational support.

- Infrastructure architecture documentation and reference models.
- Technology capability maps and multi-year roadmaps.
- Procurement support documentation (RFI/RFP requirements, evaluations).
- Architecture diagrams: conceptual, logical, technical, and deployment views.
- Standards and policies for technology implementation.
- Solution design blueprints and supporting documentation.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
Education & Certification:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Technical Experience:
- 10+ years in senior-level architecture roles.
- 4+ years in cloud architecture and Windows end-user computing.
- Experience in:
- Network assessments
- Endpoint devices (IoT, OT, workstations, servers, mobile)
- Disaster recovery and storage
- Identity and access management
- Vendor assessments
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Team player with a track record of meeting deadlines.

Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Azure and cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Windows, Active Directory, VMware, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Data center to cloud migration
- Disaster recovery and business continuity
- Cisco networking and voice technologies
- Quality assurance and performance tuning
Security Architecture:
- Identifying and mitigating security risks
- Knowledge of FIPPA and security compliance
- Experience with encryption, firewalls, authentication, etc.
Soft Skills:
- Experience in housing management is a plus
