Robert Half's Technology practice is a leading provider of highly skilled IT professionals for full-time placements. We specialize in staffing across infrastructure, development, cloud, data, cybersecurity and more. We're expanding our Ottawa team and are looking for a Senior Associate with a passion for business development and recruitment.

Job Summary

As a Senior Associate, you will play a dual role: developing new business and placing top IT professionals in full-time roles. You will build your own client base, promote our permanent placement services, and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and candidates alike.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and grow your own client portfolio by promoting Robert Half's permanent staffing services
  • Drive high-volume outbound activity through calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings (in-person or virtual) with hiring managers and C-level executives
  • Build lasting relationships and become a trusted partner for your clients' recruitment strategies
  • Attend networking events and stay active in Ottawa's business and tech community
  • Work closely with internal teams to align recruitment strategies and expand market share

Recruitment & Delivery

  • Identify, interview, and recommend top IT talent for permanent positions
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive pipeline of candidates through innovative sourcing techniques
  • Guide clients through the hiring process and provide insights on salary trends, job market conditions, and hiring best practices
  • Deliver exceptional experiences to both clients and candidates
  • Ensure all activity and candidate information is tracked in Salesforce

Goals & Results

  • Meet and exceed weekly targets for calls, meetings, and placements
  • Build a book of business from scratch in a highly competitive market

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business development in a metrics-driven environment
  • Previous success developing new business in a multi-call, multi-decision-maker environment
  • Background in IT or experience recruiting for technology roles is a strong asset
  • Strong consultative skills and a passion for relationship-building
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
