Sales Representative - Niagara Area

Position Overview
Pelee Island Winery is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to manage and grow sales in the Niagara region. This territory is a high priority area and will involve working closely with LCBO stores, grocery retailers, restaurants, and licensed establishments to promote the Pelee Island Winery brand. The ideal candidate has a strong background in wine or beverage sales, deep understanding of the Niagara market, and a passion for building customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage sales accounts in the Niagara region, including LCBO stores, licensed restaurants, hotels, and grocery chains.
- Execute regular sales calls, conduct product tastings, and deliver staff training to retail and licensee partners.
- Monitor retail inventory and ensure appropriate stock levels and merchandising standards.
- Meet or exceed sales targets by identifying and capturing new business opportunities.
- Represent the brand at industry events, tastings, and consumer-facing promotional activities within the Niagara market.
- Report on territory performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, ideally in wine, beverage alcohol, hospitality, or CPG.
- Strong understanding of the Niagara market and local business landscape.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.
- Ideal candidate would have wine sales experience.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 20kg (cases of wine) and stand for extended periods at tastings and events.
- Frequent travel within Niagara and surrounding area; occasional evening or weekend events.
