We are looking for an Organizational Effectiveness/ Change Management Specialist for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

This position is 100% onsite in downtown Calgary. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Description

The Organizational Effectiveness/ Change Management Specialist will play a critical role within the Project Delivery Team. The Organizational Effectiveness / Change Management Specialist will be responsible for designing and delivering initiatives that enhance organizational performance and facilitate effective change management. This role involves strategic planning, team development, and change engagement to support the company's business objectives.

This role will provide communication, engagement and enablement support to the project and will appeal to individuals who are passionate about facilitating successful transitions and helping people adapt to new ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enable the creation of focused, high-impact OE programs and processes to be in line with the business strategy and to enable employee and leader effectiveness.
  • Engage key stakeholders and seek feedback to provide strategic guidance and implement recommendations on the design, development, and delivery of the corporate programs.
  • Seek and incorporate evidence-based, best practice research, industry peer experiences and benchmarks.
  • Create solutions using advanced knowledge and experience with respect to Organizational Effectiveness content areas: organization and team effectiveness, strategic planning, team/leadership alignment and team development.
  • Partner and consult with leaders to assist them with a wide range of OE including teambuilding/team effectiveness, long range planning and team goal setting, change management.
  • Design and execute comprehensive change management strategies to support the people readiness side of delivering program/project objectives
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, change readiness and organizational impact assessments to identify change impacts to a wide audience
  • Facilitate discussions for the purpose of gathering and understanding the stakeholders and impacts of the change at various levels of the organization and across business areas
  • Identify the impact of culture on change initiatives and design an approach and interventions to help achieve desired behaviors and ways of working
  • Facilitate understanding and definition of the skills, competencies and training required in the future state
  • Work collaboratively with the project team, organization design, organization effectiveness, learning and communications teams (as applicable) to recommend and design creative options for optimal results
  • Advise and support sponsors and leaders in their roles as change champions in a model of leader-led change
  • Develop measurement approach to monitor how effectively the organization is progressing through the change and achieving desired benefits

Required Skills and Experience

  • Related degree (preferably Master's) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Leadership, or similar disciplines.
  • Must have solid experience with Organizational Effectiveness
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within Human Resources or consulting.
  • Experience within the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset
  • Accreditation/Certification in industry-recognized change methodology (ie. Prosci, CCMP) or equivalent training and experience
  • Minimum of 5-8 years group facilitation experience
  • Must be willing to travel periodically to deliver OE programs/activities
  • Must have the ability to influence, facilitate and coach senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to partner with the business to translate the needs of the organization to solutions that are fit for purpose.
  • Strong business understanding to ensure programs meet the needs of the organization.
  • Strong history and knowledge of driving accountability in organizations and setting up processes to this end.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface and facilitate effectively with a diverse group of executives, leaders, subject matter experts and end-users
