UX/UI Designer (18-24-month contract)

Overview

We're seeking a UX/UI Designer to help reimagine and optimise the customer journey across our digital storefronts. You will play a central role in our Shopify Plus migration and ongoing CRO efforts-crafting elegant, user-centric experiences that drive conversion and deepen engagement. Collaborating closely with product, marketing, and engineering, you'll bring data-informed insights and customer empathy to every interaction we build.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Journey Design & Optimisation

• Partner with product and CRO teams to optimise the website experience, including key touchpoints, such as the Homepage, PDP, cart, and checkout experience.
• Translate business goals and customer insights into high-converting, visually aligned interfaces.
• Use insights from analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings to iterate on designs.

Wireframing, Prototyping & UI Design

• Ground design decisions in user research, behavioural data, trends, and established best practices-while leaving room for thoughtful innovation and experimentation.
• Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for web and mobile e-commerce experiences.
• Deliver responsive, developer-ready UI using Figma and modern best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure fidelity of implementation across screen sizes.

Design Systems & Consistency

• Maintain and evolve our digital design system in line with brand refresh efforts.
• Apply consistent UX patterns and brand standards across all touchpoints.

Testing & Validation

• Support A/B test design and implementation in collaboration with product and marketing.
• Iterate quickly based on usability testing and real customer behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of UX/UI design experience, in e-commerce or DTC environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing data-informed design solutions across desktop and mobile.
• Proficiency in Figma, with experience maintaining design systems and working cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, Mouseflow, FullStory, or GA4.
• Experience designing for Shopify storefronts and/or working with subscription or product customisation flows.
• Bonus: experience using AI-powered tools to accelerate design and research workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A bias toward action, clarity, and continuous improvement.
