Position: Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator

Schedule: Monday to Friday (On-Site)

Location: Fraserwood & 6 Road

Reporting to the OHS Manager, the Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator (OHS Coordinator) will drive compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture through coaching, inspections, audits, and investigations. This role supports continuous improvement by tracking KPIs, assisting with claims and GRTW processes, maintaining training programs, and ensuring readiness for COR/OSSE audits, along with other safety initiatives as assigned.

Summ! Responsibilities:

  • You will drive regulatory compliance under WorkSafeBC regulations, while building a proactive safety culture through engagement, leadership coaching, inspections, audits, and investigation.
  • Contributing to the ongoing assessment of the H&S program performance by tracking metrics KPI's and supporting the development of future annual H&S workplans/business plans.
  • Ensure day-to-day compliance with company policies, procedures, and values.
  • Assist with WSBC Claims and manage GRTW Processes
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain formal training materials.
  • Assist with COR/OSSE audit preparation, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Complete other special projects, duties, as assigned.

Summ! Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in an OHS-related capacity; preferably within manufacturing.
  • Occupational health and safety certificate or diploma highly desirable.
  • Practical experience with safety management systems and injury management/return to work practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: proven able to gain cooperation and build relationships with a broad range of partners and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation Act and OHS Regulation.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom).
  • Second language preferred and Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is an advantage.

This exciting career opportunity offers a competitive base salary range (based on experience) between $65,000 - $75,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.
